Best and Worst Practices in Developing a Winning Business Plan

This session is part of the Highland 2007 Summer Startup school curriculum, which is designed to expose Summer Entrepreneurship entrepreneurs and teams to various aspects of the company creation process. It focuses on the process for developing an effective business plan.

Mr. Russo is the Director of the Entrepreneurial Management Institute (EMI) at the Boston University School of Management. Professor Russo teaches courses at the MBA, Executive and Undergraduate level, directs the activities of the EMI and serves as faculty advisor to the students concentrating in Entrepreneurship at the Graduate and Undergraduate level. He has also lectured internationally, both in Europe and Asia, on issues relating to technology entrepreneurship. Prior to joining the faculty at BU, Professor Russo was an entrepreneur himself. He served as the CEO of Data Instruments, a Massachusetts-based technology company (currently Honeywell Data Instruments), from 1983-1999. He currently serves as advisor and board member for a number of commercial and not-for-profit organizations.
