Rob Wrubel, the former CEO of Ask Jeeves and Highland Executive-in-Residence (EIR), shares his experience and advice on what it takes to be successful in high growth companies.
Rob has most recently been the CEO of Aptimus a publicly traded internet advertising network company, where he just completed the sale of the company to Apollo Group (University of Phoenix), the largest for profit university in the country and among the Internet's top advertising spenders. Previously, Rob served as founding CEO of Ask Jeeves, where he fueled the company's growth, took the company public and created the unique branding and popularity around Ask Jeeves as one of the top 20 web sites. After Ask Jeeves, Rob co-founded the company Whole Body/Yoga Works, a national family of Yoga and alternative health and fitness centers. He currently serves as Chairman there and is actively involved in guiding its financing and expansion. Prior to Ask Jeeves, Rob was the COO of Knowledge Adventure, the country's largest educational software publisher. He received a bachelor's degree from Yale University. |
