Represent Starent in various Standards and Technology forums such as 3GPP, 3GPP2, IETF, WiMAX, FemtoForum, CDG etc. The responsibilities include:
- Develop contributions for submission in these forums.
- Analyze and comment on contributions from other companies.
- Defend Starent’s interests in these forums.
- Provide guidance to internal teams on technologies pertaining to each of these areas.
- Write white paper and develop internal and external presentation material as a subject matter expert.
- Develop IPR for the company.
The candidate must be self driven and motivated to excel in the highly competitive and fast paced technology forums. Excellent communication skill and relationship building skills with the industry peers is a must. Prior experience with Standards development is a plus. 30 - 40% travel including international travel is required for this job.
Experience: 2 – 5 years of relevant experience in a Telecom or Wireless data company.
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work and get the job done in complex multi-company organizations like the standards forums (3GPP, WiMAX etc.)
- Very good technical knowledge regarding wireless data network architectures (3G and 4G)
- In-depth knowledge in one of the following areas: Network Security, Mobility Management, AAA etc.
- Leadership experience in a industry forum is a significant plus
