Senior Operations Engineer

Got the chops to build a Facebook on steroids? Do you program for fun?Do you write shell scripts to make your life easier? We're looking for top operations talent to help scale out the Going.com infrastructure.

Scope and Responsibilities:

* Scale out and maintain the production going.com website
* Develop plan for handling increased capacity and traffic spikes without downtime
* Develop standard hardware, software systems for consistent server deployment
* Ensure high uptime of system, monitor and repair failures quickly
* Proactively develop processes to stay ahead of production traffic needs, including analyzing server resources, bottlenecks, etc.

Requirements:

* 5+ years experience supporting Linux systems in high volume, critical production service environments
* Experience building scalable web applications
* Solid knowledge of advanced networking topics including isolating, diagnosing, and resolving issues with service delivery components and network devices (servers, routers, switches, bridges, firewalls, hardware load balancers)
* Excellent MYSQL knowledge and database skills
* Experience with PHP, MySQL, Linux, Apache, other open source tools
* Working knowledge of Linux, development tools (vim/emacs, grep, sed, etc.)
* Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing requirements
