Software Developer Intern

Going is a fast growing venture backed startup providing the only site focused on making life more enjoyable for 20-30 year olds online as well as offline. We're a fun, smart group looking to expand our core engineering team. We are headquartered in the heart of Boston, next to shopping, restaurants, bars, and public transportation, with easy access to Cambridge, Back Bay, Chinatown, Fenway and beyond.

Scope and Responsibilities:
* Develop new site functionality according to spec
* Design database tables to support the front end
* Optimize poorly performing parts of the application
* Fix bugs and support QA activities

Requirements:
* Junior or Senior in a 4 years Computer Engineering or Computer Science program
* Classes on Object-oriented design and design patterns
* Experience with PHP, MySQL, CSS, AJAX
* Working knowledge of Linux, development tools (vim/emacs, grep, sed, etc.)
* Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing requirements

Plusses:
* Knowledge of various web services/APIs
* Experience building scalable web applications
* Experience with Linux system administration

Engineering Manager
