Senior MIS AnalystDescription:Job Description
The Senior MIS Analyst will be involved in the day-to-day control of all information services requirements. He/she will be responsible for the detailed design of part of, or the whole information systems requirements within the company. Furthermore, he/she will have to conduct some high-level analysis, diagnosis and problem solving, qualifying the product fit and defining support needs for the user/customer. Finally, he/she will have to follow technological innovation trends to recommend new technical standards.
Task Description
Introduction of new applications, modification and upgrade existing systems
Development activities may be limited and restricted to the selection and implementation of commercial packages
Resolve interface and integration issues
Detailed planning of projects and be accountable for delivery
Provide general technical consulting on business applications to users
Responsible for analyzing business areas in terms of present and future requirements
Determine requirements for a particular business area
Establish professional conducting detailed analyses within the business area, producing outline specifications of systems requirements and prepare feasibility proposals
Develop and monitor project procedures within the team.
Write and maintain all policies and procedures related to the Lausanne and Santa-Clara offices
Assist with training and development of all ISi staff
Evaluate/recommend platforms, implement solutions
Deliver high quality implementation service by using sound engineering and project management techniques
Support all customer by reviewing design for all issues
Provide remote/on-site support. Independently troubleshoot the issue by applying a systematic approach to ensure the prompt and cost effective resolution
Document incidents/problems and steps to resolve them, to maximize institutionalization of knowledge. Amend technical standard documents and implementation procedure when needed
Build and deploy specific changes in the change management process
Perform review and audits to guarantee proper implementation and operations of all business applications
Propose and implement solutions aiming at aligning the performances with the required levels
Work with the global IT team to monitor stability and ensure 24X7 operations
Qualifications:Requirements
Proven experience in a similar position
10 years relevant business and technical experience
Fluent French & English (both oral & written), additional Language is an asset
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
Linux experience (Red Hat ES 3.X-4.X) or other releases, Microsoft Windows (Active Directory, Windows 2003, Windows XP),
University degree or equivalent
Solid background in systems operations and design
Experience with Microsoft Office SharePoint
Nice to have
Software vendor certification, ITIL certifications, Prince2 PMI certifications
