The Technical Education Instructor position at Starent Networks provides a highly motivated individual with the opportunity to design, develop, manage, and deliver technical training for both data and voice solutions to some of the largest 3rd Generation wireless carriers and vendors worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Producing and maintaining high-quality technical courseware and lab exercises for voice and data product lines
- Coordinating and delivering training worldwide for both internal and external audiences
- Pricing, producing, and maintaining custom courseware to meet customer-specific requirements
- Ensuring the readiness of all course materials and equipment prior to delivery
- Leveraging technical expertise/experience in support of corporate initiatives and revenue objectives
3+ years of related business experience in the Telecommunications industry

A working knowledge of some or all of the following areas:
- 3rd and 4th Generation wireless data and voice networking (UMTS, CDMA, IMS, LTE/SAE, WiMax)
- IP data networking and planning
- Linux/UNIX
- Network operations and performance management
- Project management
- Technical/Customer support
- Systems/Cabinet integration and hardware support
Knowledge of the following software applications:
- Adobe FrameMaker & Acrobat, Microsoft Office including PowerPoint & Visio, Corel Draw
- Knowledge XML and Structured Authoring a plus.
Education:
The candidate must have a Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
