Manager, Competitive and Industry Intelligence

The mission of this role is to enable sales to effectively compete and win deals, as well as to educate internal Coremetrics management/employees on the industry and competitive landscape in order to make better and more informed business and technology decisions. This position is the primary owner and point of contact for competitive and industry information relevant to Coremetrics and Coremetrics partners. A close relationships with our field organization, industry analysts, internal SMEs, Product Management, Development, Product Marketing and other key parties will be critical in fulfilling the mission of this role. The role also includes the creation of processes and necessary programs to perform research, and to educate Coremetrics sales, sales channel partners, as well as internal groups such as Marketing, Product Management, Client Services, Development and other departments as well as executives. Responsibilities: * In this role, the primary responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Be the owner and single-point-of-contact for the Competitive and Industry Intelligence at Coremetrics. * Perform research and create actionable insights, tools, and communication to equip our sales organization to effectively compete and win. Create both strategic de-positioning content, as well as technical, feature-oriented points of meaningful differentiation. * Provide internal management updates on competitors’ strategies, moves, as well as recommended responses by Coremetrics. * Monitor industry activity and produce timely responses and context—for sales and internal groups. * Write content for sales tools and collateral, including sales guides, webinars, sales presentations, and sales training. * Develop and execute field education/enablement plans and sales training—both on a periodic and as-needed basis. * Work closely with Product Marketing and Product Management to share, refine, and add depth or context to competitive insights, as well as to envision and plan competitive win/displacement programs. * Execute a formal Win/Loss reporting and analysis process to develop actionable insights as to why we win (and lose) deals. * Collaborate with the field and internal SMEs for competitive information, determining the effectiveness of our output, as well as co-presentations as necessary.

Qualifications:

Qualifications/Skills Required and Preferred * Bachelor's degree with 5 + years experience with marketing, product management, or sales engineering in software or services. (Bonus points for sales/sales engineering experience.) * Leadership/Strong Teamwork and Team-building skills. * Knowledge of enterprise sales process and customer buying behavior for software and services. * Knowledge and understanding of the online marketing, web analytics and/or eCommerce market. * Team-oriented, with excellent written, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
