VP of Business DevelopmentDescription:Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the company's strategic planning process and the evaluation of outside opportunities for both partnerships and acquisitions.
- Design and Build formalized alliances program
- Prepare assessments and financial analysis of strategic partnership opportunities highlighting market position, business issues, and key success factors.
- Target potential strategic partnership opportunities to enter into new markets and address technology and business gaps.
- Provide due diligence material for the finance, marketing, and legal departments.
- Perform industry analysis and financial modeling for strategic projects
- Coordinate participation and leverage cross-functional resources (marketing, sales, software development) in developing, launching and maintaining new business relationships.
- Develop and implement strategic partnership marketing standards and processes.
- Manage relationships of channel and marketing partners.
- Revenue growth through the alliance in the targeted markets
Qualifications:
- Must have 8+ years working within the software industry developing channel/partner strategies, and cultivating channel/partner relationships into successful business ventures
- Must have a demonstrated ability to negotiate and secure new partnerships.
- Must have a Bachelors Degree in business or marketing
- MBA preferred
- Must have proven success in structuring relationships and delivering results
- Proven relationship building, account management, and program management success.
- Able to work collaboratively inter and intra departmentally to clearly communicate alliance partner business strategy and incorporate feedback
- Must possess a high degree of integrity and the ability to achieve results in a flexible, dynamic environment.
- Requires mature judgment and initiative with good listening, communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to negotiate agreements between parties.
- Excellent interpersonal relations, ability to interact with all levels of alliance partners from technical to C-level management.
- Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communications skills. Able to crisply present ideas and concepts and work to closure.
- Proven ability to influence/persuade others to gain acceptance/approval of difficult or innovative ideas/concepts.
- Excellent strategic and problem solving skills; change agent.
