Gotuit, the provider of the industry's leading video metadata management system, is growing and is looking for a passionate, detailed-oriented QA Engineer to join the team. The company's flagship product, Gotuit PowerVideo Suite™, is a whole new way to unleash the power of existing video content. The PowerVideo Suite (PVS) enables publishers to transform entire video libraries into a superior Gotuit-enabled experience marked by best-in-class navigation, video search, targeted advertising, virtual remixing and personalized viewing. Seamless systems integration and custom applications are simple using our Web services-based SDK. As a key member of the quality assurance team, you will be required to write test code in Java and/or scripting languages to automate functional tests, measure performance, and load test PVS and its related services. We work in highly dynamic development cycles, and our developers and QA engineers have a strong, collaborative relationship as partners in the delivery of quality products. Responsibilities: • Work closely with the QA and development teams to write automated tests for PVS and related services. • Partner with developers to create test plans from functional specifications. • Design, implement, and run automated test code using Java based test harnesses. • Perform load and stress testing. • Contribute tools to the QA team's test suites and testing infrastructure. • Execute Manual Test Cases and Automated Regression Test Suites. • Develop and maintain Batch and Cron Jobs with UNIX Shell Scripts for push, release, deployment, etc. • Represent QA in design, functional requirements, and code reviews. • Take ownership for the quality of the product that is shipped.

Requirements: • Familiar with web technologies and programming (HTML, IIS, Web Services). • Background in testing or development of database-driven web applications or other enterprise software. • Solid Java preferably in building JUnit and equivalent tests. • Strong QA skills: planning, bug isolation, bug report writing, troubleshooting. • Ability to automate complex test cases. • Attention to detail. • Experience designing and running web stress and load tests. • Strong communication skills. • A keen analytical and structured approach to problem solving and testing. • Experience with any of the following a plus: cloud based service architecture; web services; streaming media; SQL Server or Oracle; Web Services; J2EE/.NET. • BS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience. • Recent Computer Science graduates encouraged to apply.
