Senior Channel Marketing Manager

Description:

This highly visible marketing position is responsible for the development and execution of channel programs that enable ExaGrid's VAR and reseller channel partners to deliver maximum revenues. The position's responsibilities include: channel strategy and tactics definition; development and execution of channel lead-generation, communication and sales-enablement programs; and measurement of success metrics and partner key performance indicators. Responsibilities: • Plan and execute marketing programs and activities through channel partners, including webcasts, joint field seminars, Website co-marketing, and email campaigns; assess cost/benefit of partner-initiated events and recommend strategy for participation • Develop relationships with marketing counterparts at direct market resellers (DMRs) and VARs, and create and execute quarterly and annual marketing plans • Monitor performance and ROI of programs, including event attendance, leads, meetings generated, and new registrations resulting from programs; make recommendations on future program plans based on past performance and program efficacy • Maintain partner collateral, banners, and other giveaways, and ensure effective distribution to all partners and ExaGrid sales force • Support writing of joint collateral, customer case studies and marketing program invitation copy • Work with Channel management to ensure that ExaGrid communicates customer successes and product/sales knowledge on an ongoing, systematic basis • Ensure that ongoing aspects of the partnership, including training, event coordination, and other partner requests are executed effectively in the local market • Identify best practices in VAR/channel marketing activities and ensure these are delivered within the program

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years B2B marketing experience, ideally in VAR/reseller partner marketing at a technology company (storage, hardware/software, software) • BA/BS in marketing or business-related field • Experience and successful track record planning, executing, and reporting on successful partner marketing programs, including webcasts, joint seminars, Internet marketing, email campaigns • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate marketing messages and technical concepts through various mediums • Ability to manage marketing programs from concept through implementation • Knowledge of partner recruitment, enablement and go-to-market strategies, with demonstrated strength building and developing partner marketing relationships • Ability to coordinate resources across sales and marketing functions • Strong follow-through and execution skills; creativity and flexibility • Experience in a start-up environment marketing an emerging company against competitors with greater brand recognition.
