We are looking to fill a key, highly-visible position: Project Technical Lead Consultant. This person will be responsible for providing technical leadership and oversight to a team of 2 to 10 senior consultants and developers. This role will also require hands on expertise in analyzing customer needs and requirements for real-time data processing systems and helping customers create high performance, highly scalable applications using our product, StreamBase.

StreamBase is a leader in the fast growing complex event processing (CEP) market. The company supplies investment banks, hedge funds, brokerages, market makers and exchanges with leading edge technology for real-time, low latency and algorithmic trading solutions covering all asset classes.

StreamBase is looking for technical leads and consultants to join its expanding London team. We are considering US based employees that are willing to have extended periods of travel to London. All successful candidates will combine strong technical experience gained within a capital markets environment (either having worked directly for a financial services firm or software vendor servicing this sector) with excellent client facing and communications skills.

These positions report to the VP of Professional Services and combine both pre-sales and professional services consultancy.

Project Technical Lead Skill Set:-
• 5+ years technical project leadership doing complex software development
• Knowledge and experience in at least one mainstream SDLC
• Knowledge and experience using and managing source code control, bug tracking software, project management software

Personal Skill Set:-
• Educated to degree level/or proven professional experience
• Experience gained in customer facing roles in a capital markets and FX trading environment
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally as required

Technical Skill Set:-
• Good understanding of SQL
• Working knowledge of Java, RCP
• C#, .NET knowledge a benefit
• Understanding of middleware / market data connectivity / Complex Event Processing (CEP)
