Boulder, CO - December 5, 2006 - Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy, Inc., the first and leading chain of integrative pharmacies in the United States, announced today the appointment of Ian Mukaida to vice president of store development. In his new position, he will be responsible for the construction, planning, design and logistics of all new stores, and also the allocation and planning of capital expenditures in current stores.
“As we double in size over the next year, Ian will play a critical role in the build-outs of each new store: innovating new designs while controlling costs,” said Pharmaca’s co-founder and CEO Barry Perzow.
Mukaida has over 20 years experience in the retail/wholesale food and food services industries. Prior to joining Pharmaca in 2001 as director of logistics and new store planning, he was the grocery merchandising manager for Capers, Canada's leading natural foods retailer. In addition, he worked as a retail category manager for the western Canada division of Loblaw Companies, Canada's largest food retailer and distributor.
Mukaida attended Simon Fraser University and received a diploma from the Dubrulle French Culinary School in Vancouver, British Columbia.
