Enables Game Studios to Quickly Develop and Launch Cross-Platform Mobile Games
Mountain View, CA – February 27, 2012 – Game Closure today announced a Series A financing round of $12 million to fund its advanced HTML5-based cross-platform game technology. The round was led by Highland Capital Partners, with Greylock, Benchmark, General Catalyst, and Charles River Ventures also participating. In conjunction with the financing, Highland’s Andy Miller has joined the company’s board of directors.

Game Closure was founded in 2011 and participated in StartX, a student-led incubator whose mission is to help develop startups found by Stanford students. The company has since grown to over 26 employees and intends to double in size over the next six months, with a focus on growing its engineering, data analytics, and design teams. It seeks to fill a spectrum of talent, from skills in programming to digital art to big data.
