Describe the best business pitch you've ever seen.

The best pitches are when an hour has passed and I have a great sense for the business, and yet, we never even reviewed the slides.

The best entrepreneurs are capable of "going off script." This is what's required to deal with the ups, downs and constant ambiguity involved in starting a business or defining a new market. The best entrepreneurs anticipate the unexpected and are able to react quickly and tackle whatever is thrown their way.

When entrepreneurs can pitch their stories and simultaneously navigate all the curveball questions a venture capitalist can throw – that is the sign of a good pitch.
