Recognized for Innovation and Leadership in Virtual Desktops as a Service

Desktone, Inc., the pioneer of Desktops as a Service (DaaS), today announced it has been named to CRN's 2013 Virtualization 50 list. Desktone was selected for its market leadership and unique approach to delivering cloud-hosted desktops and applications.

Selected by CRN editors, the 2013 CRN Virtualization 50 recognizes vendors that are addressing the growing demand for virtualization solutions with innovative offerings. The list is designed to help solution providers identify key virtualization products and programs that can help grow their business.

"Solution providers have plenty of options when it comes to virtualization technology. However, understanding the diversity of vendors and their solution nuances can be incredibly daunting," said Robert Faletra, CEO, UBM Tech Channel. "CRN's annual list aims to cut down the noise and highlight the most innovative technology vendors that are not only delivering powerful virtualization technology, but also helping VARs capitalize on the market opportunity for such solutions."

"The need for DaaS has never been greater. Employees are demanding more flexibility in how they access data and apps, and IT must deliver this mobility while ensuring security. Desktone's virtual desktop platform was specifically designed to enable Service Providers to meet these needs, and as a result, we're seeing tremendous interest from the channel," said David Grant, VP Marketing, Desktone. "We're honored that CRN recognizes the compelling nature of our solution and its value to the channel community."

Desktone's inclusion in the 2013 Virtualization 50 was featured in CRN online and in the May 27, 2013 issue of CRN Magazine.
