Background
Prior to joining Highland, Deven was a member of the private equity group at Goldman Sachs, where he evaluated technology leveraged buyout, growth equity, and venture capital transactions - primarily in the Internet, mobile, and software-as-a-service sectors. Before Goldman, Deven held various finance and operating roles at NexTag, the leading Internet comparison shopping site. Deven started his career as an investment banking analyst at Lazard, where he evaluated mergers & acquisitions in the technology sector and advised companies including Microsoft, Hotels.com, and Electronic Arts.
