Title Director of Engineering

Working for the VP of Product Development, you will manage the day-to-day development aspects of multiple projects including analysis, scoping, planning, implementation, and QA. You will participate on the product leadership team to define the long term technology and architectural strategy demonstrating a deep knowledge of technologies that span a variety of domains including enterprise applications, cloud APIs and architecture, virtualization, networking, mobile applications and more. You will contribute to evolution of product architecture, develop and communicate product roadmap, with planned release cycles, and believable resource plans. You are customer-centric, and feel strongly about building scalable, secure, quality software. You have a demonstrable track record of success managing the development and QA of new features or products. You thrive and succeeded in delivering high quality technology products in a growth environment where priorities shift fast.

Your Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a talented and diverse group of software developers and QA engineers
- Manage the day-to-day aspects of multiple projects including communication, analysis, scoping, planning, implementation, and QA
- Partner with Product Management to facilitate testable designs, quality software, and fanatic customers
- Contribute your expertise to the team and in turn benefit from the knowledge and expertise of others
- Retain, lead and mentor development talent to expand a cohesive and powerful team
- Work closely with product management to define project scope, priorities and timelines
- Strive for excellence in customer experience, technology, methodology, and execution

- BS in CS, ECS, EE, or similar technical degree
- Minimum of 10+ years of industry experience
- Solid engineering, QA, and people management experience
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive and previous track record of engineering leadership
- Deep knowledge of internet technologies (e.g. HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, TCP/IP)
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies and tools
- Experience building client / server based products for an enterprise environment
- Flexible, pragmatic, creative and open-minded
- Ability to work with others in a fast-paced environment, operate under tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal, listening, presentation, and writing skills
- Self-motivated, with proven ability to solve problems and deliver results
