Michael Zagorsek Joins Creator of World's Most Accurate 3-D Motion Control Technology to Revolutionize Computing

Leap Motion, the motion-control software and hardware company changing the future of human/computer interaction, today announced the appointment of Michael Zagorsek as Vice President of Product Marketing. He will be responsible for marketing, developer relations and launching the Leap application store. Zagorsek most recently served as a Director of Marketing Communications at Apple, where he helped build and manage the worldwide interactive marketing communications team covering product launch marketing, retail marketing, direct marketing and the Apple online store -- one of the largest online retailers in the world. His tenure began with the launch of the original iPhone in 2007, and he's overseen interactive marketing for every Apple product announcement since then.

Since Leap Motion's global unveiling in May, consumer pre-orders for the Leap device continue to soar. More than 40,000 programmers in 140+ countries have submitted their ideas and will be eligible to join the Leap Software Developer Program. In the months ahead, this growing community of developers will have the opportunity to submit their Leap apps for distribution through a consumer app store. The Leap, a small peripheral that connects via USB to any laptop or desktop, allows users to easily control their computers with natural hand and finger movements. Accurate to 1/100th of a millimeter, the Leap costs just $70 and can be pre-ordered at www.leapmotion.com for shipment in early 2013. Media around the world have applauded Leap Motion, including Popular Mechanics naming Leap Motion one of 10 "Breakthrough Technology of the Year Award" winners. Fast Company honored Leap Motion as an "Innovation by Design Award" finalist and Co.Design named David Holz, co-founder and CTO, as one of the 50 most influential designers in America. Prior to Apple, Zagorsek served as a Management Supervisor at OgilvyOne, where he managed worldwide hardware and software digital marketing for IBM. He also previously managed interactive marketing for Volkswagen at Arnold Worldwide and worked as a strategy consultant at Sapient, with clients ranging from startups to established brands looking to take their businesses online. Zagorsek has a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Honors from Carleton University, Canada, and a Master of Science degree in International Marketing Management from the University of Bradford, UK.
