In the first three weeks since Leap Motion™ launched its innovative 3D motion control technology on July 22, users have downloaded more than 1 million apps from the Airspace™ Store.
Customers around the world have received their Leap Motion Controllers, and device sales continue to be strong. Leap Motion has already expanded the available apps by more than 15 percent since launch, with 13 new titles added to the Airspace Store and more coming soon.
The five top-rated Airspace apps since launch showcase how Leap Motion allows people to explore new ways to control their computer, to play games, to learn and to augment professional DJ tools with a new way to make music. They include:
- BetterTouchTool – Configure gestures to control your Mac
- Dropchord – A music-driven score challenge game with mesmerizing visuals and an original electronic soundtrack
- GameWAVE – Completely control keyboard and mouse-based video games with the Leap Motion Controller
- Cyber Science – Motion – Explore spatial relationships of human anatomy with Dissection and Assembly modes
- Geco MIDI – Use hand movements to create music with MIDI-capable software or hardware
Thousands of developers around the world are experimenting and creating new applications for Leap Motion’s technology. More than 5,000 pictures or videos of #FirstLeap experiences with the Leap Motion Controller have been posted, and Leap Motion has been mentioned more than 80,000 times across social media platforms since units began shipping. Leap Motion Controllers are available for $79.99 at www.leapmotion.com with shipping to more than 100 countries. In the United States, it can also be purchased in Best Buy stores and online at http://bestbuy.com. In the United Kingdom, Amazon UK is exclusively selling controllers through Aug. 26. HP plans to announce unique devices embedded with Leap Motion’s technology, and ASUS intends to bundle the Leap Motion Controller with select computers.
