Title Networking Software Engineer

• Architect, design and deliver networking features, extensions and interfaces.

   

• Identify and implement performance optimizations for the entire networking software and solution stack.

   

• Develop C/C++ /Java software in a Linux environment.

   

• Integrate software into existing networking infrastructures.

   

• Assist in bring-up and test activities required for platform test and integration.

   

• Interact with leading Data Center customers and partners for solution optimization.

   

• Provide guidance to hardware engineering team for opportunities related to features and optimizations.

   

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering required, graduate degree preferred.

   

• 7+ years of hands-on experience with design and development of networking internals.

   

• 5+ years of Linux-based development and knowledge of Linux internals and Server Systems.

   

• Working knowledge of IPv4, IPv6, layer 2 switching, routing, STP, VLANs, LACP, and related networking standards.

   

• Working knowledge of switch, router and fabric management software and applications.

   

• Excellent C/C++ /Java skills.

   

• Detailed knowledge of hardware systems design, hardware interfaces and ability to collaborate with hardware engineering team.

   

• Self-motivated and driven to continuously improve personal and professional skills combined with openness to constructive feedback.

   

• Strong communication and documentation skills.
