Bit9 Appoints New CEO


Patrick Morley’s appointment signals new era of innovation and growth at leading provider of application control and device control solutions

Cambridge, MA - December 3, 2007 - Bit9, Inc., the leading provider of application control and device control solutions, today announced the appointment of Patrick Morley as President and Chief Executive Officer of Bit9.

Morley comes to Bit9 from Corel, where he served as Chief Operating Officer. During his tenure at Corel, Morley led the company's global sales, marketing, and operations functions for the Americas, EMEA, and Asia. Morley joined Corel in 2005, serving as Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing for the Americas, building relationships with top PC manufacturers as well as the company's network of global resellers and retailers.

Throughout his career, Morley has distinguished himself as an executive dedicated to guiding companies to success. Morley previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Imprivata Corporation. Prior to that, he served as Vice President, North America for Macromedia. He also served as Vice President, Americas at Allaire Corporation, prior to its acquisition by Macromedia. He has a B.A. in Mathematics and Computer Science from Providence College.
