Avidyne Corporation Selects Aerocomms as Public Relations Agency of Record
TAS600 Series’ advanced features, wower price point extend Avidyne’s presence in rotary wing market
Lincoln, MA - February 27, 2006 - Avidyne Corporation, the market leader in integrated flight decks for general aviation aircraft, announced today it has selected AeroComms, Inc., as its public relations agency of record. AeroComms provides Avidyne with strategic communications counsel and a range of public relations and media relations services.
Avidyne revolutionized general aviation with the first integrated flight deck or “glass cockpit” to meet the size, cost and performance requirements of small aircraft. The company’s growing range of products includes the Avidyne Entegra integrated flight deck, the EX5000 and EX500 multi-function displays (MFD) and the TAS600 series of active-surveillance traffic advisory systems.
The Avidyne Entegra system is the best-selling integrated flight deck in general aviation, out-shipping competitors since its debut in early 2003. Widely acknowledged for its superior pilot interface and highly intuitive operation, Entegra is shipping in 17 different models of new aircraft. The system has been selected for use in many of the Very Light Jets (VLJs) expected to begin customer deliveries this year, and is the basis for the Eclipse Avio system.
Based near the Lawrence Municipal Airport north of Boston, AeroComms specializes in public relations and communications consulting for general aviation companies. Clients include the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), Columbia Air Services, Precise Flight, NxAero and others. The company was founded by Rich Nagle, a former wire service reporter, a 20-year public relations professional, and an instrument-rated commercial pilot and aircraft owner.
“AeroComms really ‘gets it’ when it comes to general aviation and communications,” said Tom Harper, director of marketing at Avidyne. “They understand our market and our business, are responsive on our day-to-day tactical needs and have the depth and savvy to provide strategic counsel.”
“Avidyne revolutionized general aviation and made flying small aircraft safer, more intuitive and more fun,” said AeroComms President Rich Nagle. “The company’s leadership extends beyond market share to its technical innovation and its broader vision for transforming the market. We’re looking forward to working with the Avidyne team to help build on its successes.”
