StreamBase Offers Amnesty to Aleri-Coral8 CustomersMigration Best Practices Workshop Offered to Assist Aleri-Coral8 Customers
“StreamBase received several enquiries on Monday from concerned customers. There is clearly anxiety from Aleri and Coral8 users who have built applications on top of their CEP engines, and now find that at some point they may have to re-write their applications,” said Mark Palmer, Chief Executive Officer of StreamBase Systems. Palmer continued, “Given the uncertainty resulting from this merger, we are offering any Aleri or Coral8 customers a one-time amnesty to migrate to StreamBase.”
Larry Derany, SVP of Products at StreamBase, said, “Customers of Aleri or Coral8 realize that they will need to consider re-writing applications to suit whatever the new merged Aleri-Coral8 code base produces. Now is the time to evaluate the available options by exploring a product based on industry standard SQL and from a company that has solid backing, such as StreamBase.”
Under the StreamBase Amnesty Program, Aleri-Coral8 customers will have until April 30th, 2009 to register their interest in trading-in their existing Aleri or Coral8 CEP platform for StreamBase.
“Migration Best Practices: Moving from Aleri SPLASH or Coral8 CCL to StreamBase StreamSQL” is a workshop designed by Richard Tibbetts, StreamBase’s Chief Technology Officer and led by StreamBase’s senior field architects. The program is intended to assist Aleri-Coral8 customers with the migration to StreamBase.
Chris
Risley, Chairman, StreamBase Systems, commented, “It is important for
Aleri and Coral8 customers to note that StreamBase is backed by three
of the top venture firms in the world;
