More than 17,000 subsidiary employees set to earn rewards for engaging in their health.

Minneapolis, MN - June 7, 2010 - The Schwan Food Company is well known for its pizza and ice cream, widely recognizable home-delivery trucks, and more recently, its LiveSmartTM line of wholesome and nutritious foods from Schwan's Home Service, Inc. The company will soon leave its mark as one of the most progressive companies in the country when it comes to promoting a healthy workforce and culture.

Starting this fall, the more than 17,000 employees of the subsidiaries of The Schwan Food Company will be eligible to use RedBrick Health and its comprehensive suite of innovative health services.

"We are always looking for innovative, yet economical, ways to enhance the value of our health benefits package in support of building an engaged workforce and a high-performance culture," said Scott Peterson, executive vice president and chief human resources officer of The Schwan Food Company. "It's also imperative that we aggressively manage costs so we can keep providing competitive benefits to attract and retain talent. "Over the past three years, we've developed a track record of delivering original and effective ways to get people excited about and involved in their health. The result has been participation rates that far exceed industry averages.
