Minneapolis, MN - June 2, 2010 - RedBrick Health today announced The Alliance for a Healthier Minnesota has selected its social networking technology to serve as the online platform for its corporate weight loss competition among Minnesota's largest employers - The Biggest Loser Summer Challenge.

Alliance for a Healthier Minnesota members Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, Cargill, General Mills, HealthPartners, Medtronic, Target and UnitedHealth Group will participate in The Biggest Loser Summer Challenge to see which organization can collectively lose the greatest percentage of weight.

In addition to weight loss, participating Alliance member companies and their employees will take part in healthy social competitions to promote increased physical activity and improved nutrition. The Biggest Loser Summer Challenge is open to the more than 125,000 Minnesota employees of participating Alliance member organizations.

The Biggest Loser Summer Challenge started May 28, 2010 and concludes September 2, 2010. The Challenge also has rights to use materials from NBC's popular television show The Biggest Loser. "Target offers a number of tools, services and support to help team members and their families reach their well-being goals," said Dr. Joshua Riff, Medical Director, Target Corporation. "The Biggest Loser Summer Challenge and associated technology is another example of how Target actively engages in partnerships to help build healthier communities."

"Alliance members believe that healthy and social competitions foster deeper levels of engagement and provide a fun way to focus employees on health, and we couldn't agree more," said Kyle Rolfing, chief executive officer for RedBrick Health. "Getting healthy doesn't happen in a vacuum; an individual's behavior is directly influenced and supported by family, friends and co-workers. Our team has worked closely with clients to build a technology platform like no other. It combines deep personalization, alignment of financial incentives, and social elements to create the sustained engagement necessary to produce health change - for individuals and organizations. The Biggest Loser Summer Challenge will draw widespread local and national attention, and we're proud to help showcase Minnesota's employer community as one of the most progressive and healthiest groups in the nation."
