BOULDER, Colo. (Oct. 6, 2010) – mix1 beverage company, best known for its All-Natural Protein Shakes, announced today the introduction of its new product line, mix1 Lean Performance. At only 90 calories, the great-tasting, all-natural Lean Performance products provide the everyday athlete a high-quality protein beverage whose foundation is clean, simple and naturally effective nutrition.

The new mix1 Lean Performance Shakes are designed to be used pre or post workout fueling the athlete’s activity or providing optimal recovery nutrition after exercise. Each 11-ounce serving is low in sugar, has just 90 calories and is packed with 10 grams of premium whey protein isolate, 10 grams of carbohydrates, antioxidants equivalent to 3 servings of fruits and veggies, 3 grams of soluble fiber and 1 gram of heart healthy fat from olive oil. The delicious acai-pomegranate and orange-twist flavors have no preservatives or artificial ingredients and are free of lactose, gluten and soy for easy digestibility.

“We listened to our consumers and the result is our new line of Lean Performance Shakes,” said John Burns, CEO of mix1. “Over the last few years consumer demand for protein shakes has been increasing rapidly. Elite athletes were the initial customers, but now everyday athletes recognize the importance of incorporating protein into their workout routine. We received a lot of feedback from people looking for a lower-calorie, lower-sugar protein shake. mix1 Lean Performance, which like our original mix1 All-Natural Protein Shake contains an efficacious blend of high-quality protein, carbohydrates, antioxidants and fiber, is only 90 calories for those people interested in improving performance while reducing caloric intake. While our new Lean Performance products are low in calories we did not compromise on our commitment to using only the best ingredients, remaining all-natural and providing true functionality.”

mix1 Lean Performance Shakes are currently offered in select retailers and will be widely available nationwide by Fall 2010.
