Avidyne is
privately-held and headquartered in Lincoln, MA with offices in Melbourne, FL
and Boulder, CO. The company began 10 years ago and currently employees 130
people. In 2004, the company grew in
revenue by 34% and in headcount by 60%.
Initially reporting
to the CEO, you will partner with management to achieve the company’s top line
goals and guide the company in the following areas: recruitment, employee growth and management
development, compensation, rewards and recognition, training, organizational
planning, communications and effectiveness, and general HR practices &
administration, as well as initiatives which contribute to morale, retention,
and productivity. Additionally, you
will be instrumental in ensuring synergy in culture, practice and programs
among all Avidyne locations.
This position is
hands on in all aspects of HR. The
Director can expect to be directly involved in recruiting; creating and
implementing programs; and addressing day-to-day organizational and employee
issues. Current HR priorities are
recruiting and retention.
This position can be
based in our Lincoln, MA or Melbourne, FL office. The current HR staff includes a Sr. HR
Generalist, HR Administrator, and contract recruiter in Lincoln and a HR
Manager in our Melbourne, FL office.
Travel is required.
Requirements
The candidate must
be a seasoned HR professional with strong leadership and management experience
and demonstrable experience in managing and executing day-to-day operations of
Human Resources ideally within a high-tech company. Additional experience within a manufacturing
environment would be considered a plus.
Successful
high-volume (ideally technical) recruiting experience is critical in this
environment. Extensive knowledge and
experience in creating and implementing progressive programs within all aspects
of the HR discipline.
In addition,
successful experience in identifying HR solutions, and advising and coaching
managers are key. Superior problem-solving and conflict resolution skills are
essential. Highly visible, this position requires strong communication and
interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels
and functional areas.
The candidate must
have experience in managing HR in a multi-location company and be skilled in
corporate communications that foster a unified corporate culture.
BA in Human
Resources or related discipline is required, MA preferred. A minimum of 10
years experience in progressively responsible positions required.
