The Job:

As our Rendering Assistant, you are in a unique position to both contribute and grow as a renderer. We are experiencing tremendous growth in our Rendering group that is crucial to the success of Gemvara. If you think you have what it takes, we would LOVE for you to join our team.

What You'll Do:
  • Work collaboratively with merchandising, finance, customer care and marketing to consistently enhance both the quality and quantity of our rendering efforts.
  • Handle daily requests for special renders for PR, Sales, Customer Care and Merchandising responsively
  • Monitor and operate Gemvara Render Farms
  • Improve rendering quality and reduce render times in VRay
  • Create and maintain Rhino-scripts for rendering and Render Farms
  • Strategize and lead image management solution for large number of images
  • Innovate in areas of image composition, and 3D animation


Skills You'll Need To Be Successful:
  • You have an eye for aesthetics yet a strong interest in science of image rendering
  • Working knowledge of Ray Tracing, Pixel Shading, and GPU based Rendering
  • Extensive experience with Rhino and VRay or other rendering software
  • 1+ year Photoshop experience (art or graphic design skills)
  • Matrix experience a plus
  • Rhino Scripts Programming experience a plus
  • Jewelry experience is a plus
  • Self-starter, quick learner, work in a fast pace environment with the ability to manage a variety of projects at once
  • Experience with 2D and 3D, static and animated Renderings
  • Passion for latest Rendering and Optimization techniques/technologies for both 2D and 3D Renderings
  • The ability to communicate your ideas clearly
  • A passion for technology and art
