Summer@HIGHLAND 2012 Application

If you’re looking to apply to Summer@HIGHLAND 2012, you’ve come to the right place! Before you jump into the application, we’d appreciate it if you’d help us out by reading the below carefully.

First off, please be sure to attach resumes/bios of all applying team members. These are required. We like to know who you are.

Second, we have not one, but two deadlines this year: Early (March 1, 2012 at 11:59pm PT) and Regular (April 5, 2012 at 11:59pm PT). If you apply Early and are not selected for some reason, your application will automatically roll into our Regular review process. No need to re-submit.

Third, when you submit your application, the primary contact (listed first) will be sent a confirmation email that will contain a receipt code. Please hold onto this code. You will need it later. In addition, if you do not receive a confirmation email and validated receipt code, that means we have not received your application. Please contact us immediately at summer@hcp.com if that is the case.

Letters of Reference

We highly recommend that you attach referrals/letters of recommendation in pdf format from at least two key advisors/mentors. You should pick referrers who can vouch for you as an entrepreneur, technologist, business person, or all of the above. If they have experience in your industry, all the better. Above all, the best referrers are people who actually know you and can write from personal experience. So choose wisely!

Company Information

What is the name & brief description of your company (under 140 characters)? If you don’t have one, just put down something creative. You’re writing in electrons, not stone. Create a video less than 2 minutes in length answering the following questions as a team:

What problem are you solving, and why is it important?
How did your team come together to solve this problem?
What do you expect to accomplish by the end of the summer?
