Violin Memory Appoints Vince Blackall as Vice President of Channels for EMEA

Violin Memory, Inc., provider of memory-based storage systems, today announced Vince Blackall as Violin Memory’s Vice President (VP) of Channels for EMEA. A highly successful executive in his field, Blackall has a strong technology and storage sales background. Prior to Violin, he held various channel management roles in Europe, Asia and the Americas for companies like Dell Software, CommVault Systems and Veritas (now Symantec). At Violin, Blackall will be responsible for overseeing and aggressively growing the EMEA channel.

Prior to joining Violin Memory, Blackall was the Director of Channel and Alliances at Dell Software. He has also operated as Managing Director of EMEA channels at CommVault Systems, and was VP EMEA channel at Veritas (now Symantec), where he significantly exceeded his targets. Blackall also served as the VP North American channel at CA Technologies, where he achieved a channel revenue objective of $220 million.
