In addition to his role at Highland, Wyc is Managing Partner, Governor and Chief Executive Officer of the Boston Celtics. He is also the Chair of the NBA Planning Committee and is a member of the league’s Audit & Compensation Committee and Advisory/Finance Committee.

 

Prior to leading an investment group that purchased the Celtics in 2002, Wyc served as a General Partner with Highland for seven years. During this period, he was an investor in many successful healthcare services, medical technology and information technology companies, including: Answers Corporation (IPO), Conor Medsystems (IPO), Curis (IPO/acquired), EXACT Sciences (IPO), GenVec (IPO), Odyssey HealthCare (IPO), NuGenesis Technologies (acquired) and Relicore (acquired).

 

His earlier career included four years as a venture capital lawyer in Silicon Valley and two years as a manager in a public biotech company. Wyc is also a former national collegiate champion oarsman.

Interests
Wyc and his wife Corinne are dedicated to assisting several New England area charities including Children’s Hospital Boston; Perkins School for the Blind; Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation; National Braille Press, Horizons for Homeless Children; Cradles to Crayons; and Lovelane Special Needs Riding Program. In his spare time, Wyc is also the drummer for the classic rock band “French Lick” whose recent bills have included Gregg Allman, Peter Wolf and reggae star Shaggy.
